To ensure the safety of the technician and clients, it is necessary to maintain cleanliness at the workstation and follow all stages of disinfection and sterilization. Additionally, gloves and masks should be used. Let's look at the processing stages step by step.

Step 1. Disinfection. Performed to destroy pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms, as well as to reduce the number of fungal spores. To do this, the tool should be immersed in a disinfectant solution, such as Staleks Pro disinfectant. Then proceed according to the solution manufacturer's instructions. Standard processing time is 15-30 minutes. When purchasing disinfectants, it is best to choose those whose instructions indicate activity against hepatitis B and C viruses and dermatomycosis. Disinfection can be combined with washing in special devices to destroy blood and dirt particles using vibration.

Step 2. Washing. To remove chemical solution residue, rinse the tool with water and a special detergent manually, or use a washing machine. In areas of the screw and other joints, use special brushes with plastic bristles, handling the cutting parts carefully. An ultrasonic bath is also suitable for cleaning.

Step 3. Drying. To dry, carefully lay the scissors out in an open position, cutting part facing up, on disposable paper towels, and then place them in craft packages. The tool must be completely dry, as residual moisture during subsequent sterilization can lead to corrosion.

• It is recommended to lubricate the connection parts after cleaning to maintain smooth operation, prevent friction and jamming. Apply a few drops of oil, then perform squeezing and opening movements, after which the tool can be placed in hermetic packaging. Remove excess oil with a clean cloth.
• Store manicure scissors in a dry, clean state, in a special tool pouch, box, or sterile craft packages so they remain clean and do not get dull by touching the edges of other metal tools and objects. Sterile instruments can be stored in an ultraviolet cabinet.
• When storing, position them with the blades facing up.
