Care and Cleaning:

Tips for Tool Care: After each use, the nippers must be cleaned and disinfected, following all stages of disinfection and sterilization, as well as ensuring the cleanliness of the workspace. Additionally, use gloves and masks.

1. Disinfection: Immerse the nippers in a disinfecting solution (e.g., Staleks Pro) according to the product instructions (15-30 min). It is better to choose products active against hepatitis B, C viruses and dermatomycoses. Can be combined with cleaning in special machines.
2. Washing: Remove solution residues with water and a detergent manually or in a washing machine. Use special brushes for connection points, and an ultrasonic bath can be used.
3. Drying: Place the nippers in an open position on disposable towels, dry completely, and then place them in craft paper bags.
4. Sterilization: Sterilize according to equipment instructions physically (in an autoclave or dry heat oven) or chemically (special solutions).

Recommendations:

• Do not leave the nippers in water for too long so as not to reduce anti-corrosion protection;
• Use only professional products for metal, avoid aggressive substances like acetone or alkalis;
• After disinfection, thoroughly rinse the nippers to remove solution residues;
• After sterilization, let the instrument cool down in the sterilizer, avoiding sharp temperature drops;
• Monitor the sterility indicators of craft paper bags—open the instrument only in front of the client.

How to check nippers sharpness:

1. Take a test film, ensuring it is evenly taut;
2. Position the nippers as when working with the cuticle, open them, and guide the film between the cutting edges;
3. Smoothly make a cut with light pressure;
4. The cut should be even and soft. Repeat the process for reliability;
5. If the nippers "catch" or give an uneven cut, the tool needs replacement or re-sharpening.
